Seifhennersdorf is a small town in middle-east Germany. Everything is almost within walking distance. Here the chubby fluffy sheep eat freely without worrying about being taken by strangers. Here apple trees grow along the delightful little streets and they fall on the ground whenever they feel like it. Here houses are built per tradition without even one that looks not belong. Here factory workers devote their time and life to the trade. They teach their craft patiently to people who would love to learn. They say, it is good to pass on the skills so the industry is sustainable and can keep going for a very very long time. Here the diligent bakers let their wholegrain bread dough grow slowly until the rich aroma can heal one's entire soul, or at least grab your nose and pleasantly wake you up. Here the railway sees its age but still shines, thanks to the workers who maintain it so well. The town is old but spotless, that is the care people give to their homeland.
This is it for now. The note to myself is for sure very short. The three days in Seifhennersdorf is within a blink. Maybe next time I could stay a little longer, with gratitude observing the town people living their lives. Maybe by then I could try to walk to the highest point over the hill and say hello to the sheep, horses, trees, quarrels, ants, apples, houses, and clouds. Maybe the little wish could come true. So maybe until next time... Comments are closed.
